Ye has postponed his June 11 concert at Orange Vélodrome in Marseille until further notice, marking another disruption to his live plans in Europe.
In a statement posted on X, the artist said the decision followed a period of thought and reflection. The postponement came as opposition to the event was building in France. The country’s interior minister had been looking into ways to block the show, while Marseille’s mayor said the city should not host an event tied to hate or Nazi symbolism.
The canceled date adds to a difficult stretch for Ye overseas. Earlier this month, he was denied entry to the United Kingdom, a move that led to the cancellation of his planned appearance at Wireless Festival in July. The artist, formerly known as Kanye West, has faced continuing fallout over antisemitic comments and Nazi-related imagery connected to a 2025 song release and merchandise.
Despite the setbacks in Europe, Ye has continued to appear onstage this year, including performances in the United States and Mexico City.
