A Colorado native, Biscuit is Magic FM’s midday host and one of its promotions coordinators. He fell in love with broadcasting in high school and refused to quit pursuing his dream of being on the radio until he landed an on-air position at Magic FM. He has the “radio bug” and looks forward to sharing positive vibes every weekend to the people of his city. In addition to being a radio personality and promotions coordinator, Biscuit is also a producer for Brooke and Jubal in the Morning, a wedding and event DJ for Celebrity DJ, and a junior at The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
Q & A with Biscuit
1. If you had a chance for a “do-over” in life, what would you do differently?
I didn’t start eating mashed potatoes until I was eight years old. Probably should have started sooner.
2. If you could spend 7 minutes alone with a celebrity who would it be with and why?
Morgan Freeman. I’d love him to narrate my life for a bit.
3. What do you want your tombstone to say?
I just want a bunch of emojis on there.
4. How do you spend your free time?
I LOVE travelling. I’m blessed to have friends from all over the world whose houses I can crash at. I also spend an unhealthy amount of time on Netflix (Usually caught binging Stranger Things, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Portlandia, or Friends)
5. Which super power would you like to have?
Shapeshifting. It’s just the most versatile. Want to be invisible? Turn into a fly. Want super strength? Turn into Arnold. Want to fly? Turn into a freaking bald eagle.
“You can’t spell ‘attraction’ without ‘taco.'”
7. Describe Colorado Springs to someone who has never been here.
There’s just too many beautiful things to see! The city’s big enough to be exciting, but not too big to be overwhelming.
8. What kitchen utensil would you be?
The big spoon.
11. Describe what it’s REALLY like to be a radio DJ…no BS.
Honestly, it’s the best “job” I’ve ever had. It’s never felt like work. I’ve already met a ton of amazing artists and the Magic FM team is such a pleasure to work with. Everyone in radio is here because they love the industry, so you’re constantly surrounded by people who have the same passions as you do. My show is so much fun! It’s no secret that I’m pretty young (actually the youngest person in the building!), and I’ve never taken for granted that I have the opportunity to open the mic every day to share what’s on my mind to everyone in Colorado Springs and beyond!
